Graduating from the University of Limerick in 2018 with an Honours BSc in Physiotherapy, Seán moved to London where he completed a series of NHS rotations. These included Neurological Physiotherapy, Respiratory, ICU and care of the elderly. He then completed two outpatient rotations which focussed on musculoskeletal physiotherapy and Hand Therapy.

On completion of these rotations, Seán secured a senior post as a Musculoskeletal specialist in the Central London Barts Trust. Seán saw a varied and complex caseload of patients including persistent pain, pre/post surgical, Rheumatological and acute trauma. During his time in this role, he was able to work closely alongside orthopaedic surgeons in a fracture clinic. He also ran and delivered gym and hydrotherapy/aqua therapy classes.

Seán returned to Cork in September 2022 to complete the Sport and Exercise Medicine Masters in UCC. He graduated from this in March 2024 with a first class honours. As part of this programme he conducted research which won an academic achievement award at the annual RCSI conference for Sports Medicine.

Seán has been working as the Head Physiotherapist with the Cork u20 Football team and previously with the minors along with local GAA teams. This sees him assessing and treating a broad range of sports injuries along with implementing strategies to manage player workload and prevent injuries.

Seán is very passionate about empowering people to take control of their own health. His aims as a physiotherapist are to work collaboratively with his patients for them to be able to achieve their desired goals.

Seán is a registered Physiotherapist with CORU, the governing body for Health and Social professions in Ireland. He is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP) who represent the highest standard of practice and service of the physiotherapy profession in Ireland.
